Pillar: Bare
Location: South Coast, Sri Lanka
Dates: July 19 – July 24, 2027
BARE asks one question: who are you underneath it all? Not your job title. Not your accomplishments. Just you. Leave the laptop at home. Put your phone on Do Not Disturb. For six days, we’ll move at a different pace. Cooking in a family’s kitchen, working with plants and spices, learning practices carried across generations, and spending
long stretches of time without anywhere else to be.

Monday
Arrive at our private villa and give yourself permission to become unavailable. We’ll gather for an opening circle, share a poolside dinner, and close our first evening with a ceremony honoring the land and the week ahead.
Tuesday
Begin with yoga and breakfast before joining Naveen and his family in their home. We’ll cook together, learn the recipes and techniques passed through their family, and share the meal we’ve made. The afternoon is intentionally left open before dinner at the villa.
Wednesday
After morning movement, learn about traditional approaches to women’s health during an indigenous medicine workshop. We’ll have lunch at the villa before experiencing the rhythm, storytelling, and cultural history of Kandyan dance.
Thursday
Travel inland for a full-day safari through Udawalawe National Park, watching elephants and other wildlife move through the landscape. Return to the villa for a sound-healing experience and a quiet evening together.
Friday
Our final full day centers on the practices and materials found around us. Work with native botanicals, make incense from locally sourced herbs, flowers, and spices, and experience a personalized Ayurvedic treatment. We’ll close BARE over one final dinner together.
